dial up but im on dslmy comp tells me that it cant connect to messengers or download videos or
other such because my dial up modem cant connect but im on dsl 384 help??? plzzzzzz disable the modem and disable the com port to it, via control panel....
then if msngr is still doesn't work, unistall it then reinstall it..... However, some DSL modems are treated like dial-up -although there is no dialling - and in this case there may be a 'dial-up entry' for DSL. If none of those is the cause, then you might have acquired a 'preimum rate dialler' malware, in which case you need to run spyware-checking software. -A funny language we use, anyway, where words have lost their original meaning but we still use them for things they have nothing to do with at all anymore.. - Do many people today know what 'dialling' actually meant? <g>
