internet sharing speedhi i have two computers connected by LAN and i am sharing an ADSL connection
between my two pcs the problem is that when in one of the computers i am downloading a file in other one the speed is too low that can not open a page i wonder if there is a way to control the sharing speed for example 50% to one computer and 50% to other please help me to know if there is a solution for this problem of mine thank you It may be a better choice to get a router and connect your 2 computers to the
router. Using Cross over cabling to connect your computer directly to one another, may have some drawbacks and could be part of the bandwidth problem. Router is the intelligent technology choice. For you having a DSL connection make sure it's a DSL capable router. The Security for routers are superb and will also boost the security of your home network. Depending on the router it will allow all computers connected to it, full access to bandwidth on all ports. The key is when you have the router and before going on the net is to connect to the firmware program in the router and setup all the security features. Routers have a built in chip that has software installed in the chip. You access the firmware by using your web browser, to connect directly to the router and setup all the security configurations. Hopefully this will help thank you for your(marbles) help but since i still don't have that router and
i know there must me a way to control the speed of internet in each of computers so please help me to find out of this way using a cross cable thank you Show quoteHide quote "Marbles" wrote: > It may be a better choice to get a router and connect your 2 computers to the > router.
