I have a XP Pro computer at home which I use to connect to the VPN server at
work.  The connection to the work network works fine.   My problem is that
whenever I connect to work through this Windows VPN client, the other
computers on my home network cannot connect to the internet at all.   It
doesn't seem to me that should happen but not being an expert...    Here is
the configuration:

Home network connect through a Netgear router to cable company
3 computers connected to home network, 2 XP Pro, 1 Windows Server 2003
All configured for DHCP

Has anybody run into this before?   Thanks in advance!

Posting the results of all computers' ipconfig /all after establishing the VPN may help.
