Workgroup Instant Messaging?

I'm starting to get the hang of this home network thing, with two XPs and a
2000 Pro, and a cat 5 Linksys router.

Now that we can all see each other, connect to the internet and print on one
printer, I only need one more thing:

How could we Instant Message each other?  I'm serious.  I know, it's just
from one bedroom to the next to the living room, but it would be handy for
passing links back and forth and such.

Ideas please?

What's wrong with using an instant messaging client? AIM, MSN, Yahoo.
Trillian or Gaim are even better.

For a quick, dirty (and you already have the software you need) solution,
open a command prompt and use the NET SEND command.  Type NET SEND /? at a
command prompt for help with the command.
