The Lone Analyzer
I am trying to run a program which depends heavily on port 80. After running
the program anywhere from 1 to 2 hours, the port is blocked, and 8080 shows
up in the URL's. One person's answer to avoid this was to use dial-up. I
have high speed internet. And it may seem like a dumb idea, but if I could
slow it down to 56k when I needed to--- well, just a thought. Does anyone
know how to overcome this problem? I have went into the tcp filters and
there is no check in the box to enable filters. Thanks. John

What makes you think the port is blocked, and from where, by whom? I doubt
this is anything on your PC - certainly nothing built into Windows. You
might want to post more info - including the exact symptoms of what you're
seeing, and the program you're using.
