I have 3 systems (A +B +C) both are running XP Pro.  I cant seem to get to
network from A.  I set up workgroup called "Home" on all systems and there
didnt seem to be a problem.  When I access the network from B or C  - Entire
network - Microsoft network - Home.  I see ALL the systems (A +B + C),
however when I double click on A, I receive the following message.\\A is not
accessible.  You may not have permissions............The Network Path was not
found.
When I am on A and try to access the network, I get as far as Entire Network
- Microsoft Network - and when I double click on Home, I receice the
following message. "Home is not available. You may not have
permissions.................on the server.  The list of servers for this
workgroup is not available"  - A little different.  I t seems to me the
problem is in "A"???
I also disabled any firewall I saw and made sure simple netorking is on.

What am I missing.

Thanks for any assistance

Besides a misconfigured or overlooked personal firewall, or other security
component, there are several possibilities.  Any might be the cause of your
problem. Read this article with an open mind.

The two errors "The Network Path was not found.", and "The list of servers for
this workgroup is not available", together, sound like a NetBT issue.

You could look at "browstat status" and "ipconfig /all", from each computer, and
diagnose the problem.  Read this article, and linked articles, and follow
instructions precisely (download browstat!):

posted.

Thanks again.
