Locking Down Desktop/Laptop Wireless AccessHello,
I am trying to lockdown a XP based workstation so that it can only connect to wirelsss networks selected by the administrator. I kow that I can configure so that the workstation does not automatically connect to a non-preferred network. I am trying to lock down the workstation so that it can only access one specific Network .... any ideas? Thanks, -Bob Do you have access to all the wireless points that it can connect to?
If so, set up a mac filter preventing that user from logging in. If you go to Star>Run>type: CMD and type ipconfig you should get a list of macs on the computer. I'll look up some registry options later, there may be something to that. rdg***@gmail.com wrote: Show quoteHide quote > Hello, > I am trying to lockdown a XP based workstation so that it can only > connect to wirelsss networks selected by the administrator. > > I kow that I can configure so that the workstation does not > automatically connect to a non-preferred network.
