When I log on into our network I get all my networkmappings without any
problem.
When i connect to the network via vpn (via dsl) from home I still have no
problem to go to my network mappings.
Once i'm back at the office and i log on into the network some networkshares
are not accessable or are just accessable after some time. some programs are
getting blocked.
Rebooting the system helps. once rebooted everything is back to normal.
I'm using windows xp sp2 prof., checpoint vpn software.

Are you a) disabling the checkpoint software/connection and b) shutting down
before you bring the computer into the office?
Do you use DHCP in both locations?

before closing the dsl connection we stop the checkpoint services.
close the dsl connection.
shut down the pc.

In the office we start up.
the checkpoint services are not started.

DHCP :
on our network the pc get his ip-address via dhcp.
on the dsl connection the pc gets his ip-adres via the adsl-modem-router
(dhcp)
or via a PPPOE-connection if the user has only an ADSL modem(i think also
DHCP).
