I am trying to install a network component (XP Home) type of "Client" from
the list of:

Client
Service
Protocol

Within my LAN connection and properties popup window.

When I click the Add button, a popup window appears stating an error
occurred during configuration of the network on this computer.

Nothing else is mentioned.

Is this to do with the fact that I cannot add components?

"Windows was unable to find any drivers for this device".  If you have a
disk that contains the updated driver, or you wish to search in another
location, click OK"

I put my XP disk in and entered D: as the place to look but it cannot find
anything.

How can I add these new components?

I have also tried to setup home networking using the wizard but I get an
error message stating
