I have been unable to connect to my office VPN from my Laptop from home

to work using Microsoft VPN Client. This has worked for me from my
laptop in the past but one fine day it stopped working. I am able to
connect using my Desktop at home.

The dialog box "Verifying Username and Password ..." times out with
Error:721.

I have checked all the preferences and have tried disabling the
firewall etc. and have been unable to get past this issue. Any help
will be greatly appreciated...

Also, Updated the Firmware. Still have not been able to connect to VPN.
I use
a Netgear WGR614v4 Router/WAP. My desktop is also using the same
wireless access point and it works from my Desktop. Is there a way I
can uninstall/install just the VPN component in the Microsoft TCP/IP
stack?

If the desktop works but laptop, I would double check if there is any security software running on the laptop. The first link may help. Another possible reason is the router limits one VPN connection. Check the second link.

case Studies - VPN error 721 and 800
Case 5: The user can establish the VPN from the desktop at home but not from the laptop.
Troubleshooting: He loaded Microsoft OneCare software that blocks the GRE. Reconfigured the OneCare settings fixes the problem...

I do not have OneCare on my Laptop and I have tried resetting the
router and tried to connect the laptop first. None of this helps. Any
suggestions?
