networking blues ...Hello: I have 2 pc's with xp sp2 on a dlink624 wireless /sbc dsl, Kaspersky
antivirus/personal anti hacker - which came with SysMech6. I setup workgroup 'msoffice' & encrypted my connection. They both can connect to internet and comp2 can ping, view & access files, incl printer on comp1 but comp1 cannot access comp2 at all. I rec error that I have no admin rights to comp2 -but I set them both up!- Also I cannot ping comp2 and when i try to 'find' comp2 from the Run line using its ip or name I get err 'Path not found'. I made sure ports 137-8-9,145 are open, that its netbios over tcp, i turned off kaspersky firewalls, I'm only kind of sure about dlink setup - as both pc's can access the net. 1 major thing: I cannot turn on Windows Firewall in comp2. I've tried restart. netsh [sp] from run line with parameters.. the error is 'can't start ics - file not found' .. I can't find any 'new' ideas or answers for this, I sure hope someone can help me .. Thanks so much On Tue, 10 Oct 2006 21:39:02 -0700, PLock <PL***@discussions.microsoft.com>
