Access denied when copying files

We have an XP Pro work group environment. I can see the shared folders of both computers, However when we try to copy files from one computer to the other we get an
"access denied error message check to make sure the disk is not full".

Anyone seen this before ?

I would check the permission settings first. This search result may help,

Jose,

I've seen "access denied" cases like yours, and they come from a number of
causes.

If, in fact, the disk in question is NOT full, let's look at "browstat status",
"ipconfig /all", "net config server", and "net config workstation", from each
computer, so we can diagnose the problem.  Read this article, and linked
articles, and follow instructions precisely (download browstat!):
