Authenticating Local Proxyhi,
I work in a company network with an HTTP Proxy who requires authentication. As some software don't work with proxy authentication, I need a "local" proxy that just forward requests and add authentication headers... Is it possible ? Who knows this software ? Adding connections (proxy server or otherwise), between your company network and the Internet, is not a trivial task, and should not be done by anyone who is not well experienced with networking and security. -- Cheers, Chuck http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/ Paranoia is not a problem - it's a normal response from experience. Maybe you'll get some help from alt.comp.networking.firewalls, or comp.security.firewalls. I can't find a microsoft.* group that looks like it will help. <http://groups-beta.google.com/group/alt.comp.networking.firewalls> <http://groups-beta.google.com/group/comp.security.firewalls> -- Cheers, Chuck http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/ Paranoia is not a problem - it's a normal response from experience.
