I am looking at the links now. I moved offices so am not connected to my linksys router anymore. Quick question. What does it mean when I can see other computers in my network but have no internet access? If one computer has access and the other doesn't, then it's probably a problem on the one that doesn't have access. If you can see the other computers, can you access them also? The seeing of them might be cached on the computer. Or it could be a case of you getting local broadcasts, which lets you see the other computers. There are a lot of reasons why you might not have access, and it would help a lot if you'd diagnose the lack just a bit. Looking at the settings, and diagnosing DNS / MTU, are two places to start. <http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2005/05/troubleshooting-internet-service.html#AskingForHelp> http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2005/05/troubleshooting-internet-service.html#AskingForHelp -- Cheers, Chuck, MS-MVP [Windows - Networking] http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/ Paranoia is not a problem, when it's a normal response from experience. My email is AT DOT actual address pchuck mvps org. Thanks Chuck. I have it working now. The computer that was not working for
internet access - instead of acquiring the IP address like it was, I changed it to use the specific IP address. Same for the DNS and now it is working. Any ideas why ?
