Hibernation and Internet connection.to internet after main computer hibernates? I have a Billion ADSL Router with 4-port switch 2 Nic's in Main computer and one in Guest computer. Both computers running Windows xp home SP2. Zonealarm on "Main". Network in Trusted zone. What seems to happen after Main computer wakes up from hibernation, is that the "Main" can connect to internet but not"Guest". Main is the one that connects direct and Guest is connecting through LAN. If we reboot both computers then they both have Internet connection and file plus printer sharing. This works as long as both are running, but hibernation will kick the Guest one off the net. -- Regards, Reima

And, I'd run ZoneAlarm on both PCs. {F&P sharing will still work.} -- Cheers, Bob If you truly have a router, why are you connecting one computer to the
router and then the second computer to the first? Why not connect both computers to the router, forget ICS, then either computer can be on or off and will not interfere with the other. If you don't have a router, get one. -- Show quoteHide quoteRichard G. Harper [MVP Shell/User] rghar***@gmail.com * PLEASE post all messages and replies in the newsgroups * for the benefit of all. I forgot to say that I have Hub there too for the file sharing. So DSL==> Router Modem===> To Nic in Computer==> from second Nic in Computer ===> Netgear Hub ===>From Hub ===> Second computer's Nic. Sorry for forgetting the hub, getting too old I think, (68) Still thank you Chuck, Bob and Richard. I will try out your ideas too. -- Show quoteHide quoteRegards, Reima "Richard G.
