Network Drives Disconnect on 2003 DomainHello,
I'm having a problem with some XP users on my network. After a given amont of time they seem to "disconnect" and show in My Computer as: "Disconnected Network Drive". When I double-click on any of them, they wake up again and are fully accessible. Is there a setting or something I'm missing to keep these drives connected all the time? Thanks, Russ On Thu, 19 Oct 2006 14:25:02 -0700, VIT <V**@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote:

How many computers typically would connect to these computers, at any time? How many computers total? Is this XP Home or Pro? <http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2005/07/server-availability-affected-by.html> http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2005/07/server-availability-affected-by.html -- Cheers, Chuck, MS-MVP [Windows - Networking] http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/ Paranoia is not a problem, when it's a normal response from experience. will do the trick: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;q138365 Personally, I wouldn't; there is no harm in letting the server terminate inactive sessions and a great deal of benefit. -- Show quoteHide quoteRichard G.
