SP2 Tcp/IP restrictionHello. I've had issues for probably the last 9-12 months while trying to d/l
large files. I have a broadband connection and have been beta testing Vista. I have a problem trying to download the new releases---for some reason, it will go good for about 200 MB then my network connection drops completely. It says its connected, but there's no traffic, i can't get out to the internet, etc. I've heard that SP2 put in a Group Policy that restricts TCP/IP traffic for viruses, but it's killing me when i try to download the betas of Vista and other large files. Also, I tried on another computer that is running SP2 and it downloads without problems. I'm lost and one of my colleagues that is an MCSE doesn't know what to do either. Please help. Also, I've tried to reinstall windows on the bad machine to no avail. Thanks! You may be thinking of the SP2 outbound connection attempts/sec
limit. Don't know whether this is related to your download issue.
