NEED HELP PLEASE
AM REALLY IN NEED OF ASSISTANCE... PLEASE
We had several of our computers on an in-house Domain sign on... We placed a
New Home Built Computer to use as a back up like server for all data to be
stored.... in the Computer Name Changes area there was a Domain name and was
checked and we took it out and checked the Workgroup and assigned it a new
name Office... after re booting no matter if in regular mode, Safe Mode or
Command Prompt it keeps asking for a Password now to log on which never was
one with the Domain sign on before!!!!!!!! HELP PLEASE is there away to get
around this to log back on the computer even if having to place the check
back into the Domain area as before????????? PLEASE RESPOND TO ME AT REGULAR
EMAIL ADDRESS ASAP       mros***@charter.net     ... I REALLY NEED AND
APPRECIATE HELP ON THIS MATTER....

When you remove the computer from the domain you can no longer logon to the
domain accounts. You have to logon to a local account. It sounds like all
the local accounts have passwords. Here's a web page with some suggestions
on how to change the administrator password.

Yes, I am aware of that problem, but normally you should be able to have the
choice of the pull down to log on to this computer but the Only window that
shows up is the Network sign on window in any mode of start up!!!! There was
only 1 original log on prior to this new computer as was a special High end
gamming computer built.... No password or like before!

Once you have removed the computer from the domain there is no pull down to
pick where to logon. You can only logon to the computer so there's no need
for a choice. Did you try any of the suggestions in the link I posted?
