Re: Recovering deleted subfolder from shared folder on Windows XP/2000 NetworkHi all,
Well here is the situation. I have a shared folder on an Windows XP/2000 network (10 computers) - we use it to exchange files/folders on the network. The guest account is password protected and users on the network can log in as "guest" (with the password). Unfortunately, I had given full access to this "guest" account and then someone on the network inadvertently deleted an important subfolder on this shared folder (along with all the contents). Is there I way I can recover this subfolder? Help needed fast! John:
There's "undelete" software out there to recover, but chances are, if the HD is used in the meantime, new data can overwrite the data that's on there. If the erasure is discovered, "undelete" should be done immediately. Guess, you don't have any backup. Show quoteHide quote "John" wrote: > Hi all, > > Well here is the situation.
