File and printer Sharing in Windows 2000 with no domainI'm curious for the correct way of setting up my home network with the
ability to access our Windows 2000 Server Edition server. Currently I have one username set up for everybody in the family to use to connect to the server. It worked for me for a while but nobody else in the family could access it. Recently it stopped working for me as well. When you try to connect, it asks for username and password which I give it, but the prompt just flashes once and then goes back and asks for a password again. All of the computers connecting to it use Windows XP Pro. You need to create your username and any users who needs to access the shared folder on the server. Or this search result may help,
