XP LAN book recommendation?

Any recommendations on a 'Care and Feeding of XP LANs' that includes XP
Home? I'm about to give up fixing mine on my own. Now my Compaq no longer
shows its drive icons in Network Neighborhood. And I didn't change
anything that I'm aware of. Unless I did accidently when I compared it's
network settings with my other machine that has network problems. From
worse to worser. Glad the LAN is not vital to my operations. I can move
data with a thumb drive.
