Laptop not recognising networked printersHi.......I have a Desktop & Laptop both connected via a Di-Link DSL-G604T
modem. They were networked so that the laptop could access the 2 printers connected to the Desktop and this was working great. But.......in the last few days I needed to get a clean Windows install done on the desktop & have reloaded all my software/drivers etc. Everything is reconnected and the Desktop is now fine & can access both printers but the laptop can't locate them when I use the add printer wizard. I seem to recall having the same problem about a year ago when I first set the network up but by fluke or accident it eventually worked but now I'm stumped. Any suggestions would be gratefully received. Cheers Nick from New Zealand Enable printer and file sharing in properties and add the printers to the
network and it should work. Select "Share this Printer" and give it a name. You also need to make sure that File and Printer Sharing is enabled in the TCP/IP properties. Patty
