PPP Error 720 WinXP SP2I'm having a really hard time with the error and although I did a search and found many posts with the same problem, I can't find a solution. I'm trying to use a dial up network connection with a PC Card (Cingular HSDPA Option 3g Max) with my IBM X31 Thinkpad. I tried using the standard DUN setting creating a new connection for the card. I also tried the communication manager software Cingular and the card manufacturer provides. No luck, I just get the same error. Cingular couldn't help either. I'm running WinXP SP2 with all updates applied. I have the latest drivers and software for the PC Card. I've spent the last two days reading net postings, tried numerous "netsh int ip reset" commands, tried the winsockxpfix utility. Removed all my third party vpn software (nortel and hamachi). My lan and wlan connections work fine, just this dun connection that is killing me. I have the windows firewall and the McAfee firewall disabled. TCP/IP is enabled for the connections as is QoS, File and Pring Sharing and Client for MS networks. The card dials and connects then gives me Error 720. Short of reinstalling WinXP (I'm not even sure that would work), does anyone have a solution or suggestions? Regards-Michael G. Hi Michael,
