Unfortunately, computers are highly technical and often the repairs and/or troubleshooting steps require you to at least be able to follow the "technical talk" instructions. If you want to try this yourself, then first determine that the computer is virus/malware-free by going through these steps systematically: http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Removing_Malware The majority of problems with Internet connectivity and browsers on Windows machines are caused by viruses and malware, so the first troubleshooting step is to make sure the computer is clean. The problems may be caused by a faulty third-party plugin or toolbar.
