A friend is trying to creat his web page using Front Page and is having
problems wit it, does any one out here know about Front Page?

Here is a comment my friend sent me...

Me Bud..
Website can't get completed.  I still can't get a couple of the buttons to
work, and all of them still show the little red x instead of the button
itself.  I am so frustrated.  I don't know where to turn, but I can't use
this for a business site.  It reeks like this.

I sent him a response about him using Yahoo SiteBuilder so his response was
as following...

Mucho appreciations for the thought here.   But before I go hog wild into
them, I need to find out something.    As far as I understand, there are
only 2 real ways to publish something on the Net:  things like Front Page
and things that use FTP.  The host service I am using (1and1) uses both.
But you can't use both at the same time.  It has to be one or the other.
They are not compatible.   Judith and I were associate (loosely) with the
Yahoo Business stuff some time back, and I don't remember ever seeing
anything about Front Page, which makes me think they are using FTP.  If so,
it won't help me, as everything we have done up to this point has been using
Front Page.   Do you know which one Yahoo uses for sure?

And I've done all the updates MS says to do about the jpeg files showing as
little red x's, but they are still there.  And I also still can't get some
of the links to come up, only the GFX associated with it (sigh).  And the
mystery goes on..

Thanks.  Blessings.

them on to my friend...

Thanks...

And...

www.nvu.com

(For starters with 1&1 you'll need to ask them to enable FP extensions.)

Additionally FP uses FTP - that's how it uploads stuff. Other then that,
really, hire a professional if you must?
