Internet connection (name resolution) problems after hibernate/standby

After the system goes to standby/hibernate and later I start it, my
system connects to my wireless router fine. When a connection to the
internet is made (e.g., browsing or IM) it doesn't work. Ping also
didn't work, I tried to see if the DNS resolution is working and tried
nslookup and it worked fine. Later I used the IP address (rather than a
domain name) in my browser and it worked.
Seems the name resolution used by the programs (exceptions like
nslookup) is not working. Any idea how to solve this.
I came across a very similar posting over the web
(http://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?s=10f0bbfc87f202940c4413441a881355&showtopic=508346&pid=588008265&st=0&#entry588008265
), the O.P said he is running Zone Alarm and Avast together and so am
I. Is this the reason or someone else came across this problem with out
it (Zone Alarm & Avast).

Thanks,
Tyro.

There is an annoying bug in Zone Alarm that often causes this problem.   It
is relatively easy to work around.  See
