I have 2 computers connected together via a cable router. Both machines can
see the internet easily. I have turned on file and print sharing on both
machines, however I can only browse one way. I have listed the configurations
with the problems below.

PC One
OS: Windows XP Pro
Workgroup: OurHome
Computername: OurServer
IP Address: 192.168.2.1

Can do:
net view \\OurServer (returns list of shared facilities on \\OurServer)
net view \\OurGame (returns list of shared facilities on \\OurGame)
View the shared folders on other computer \\OurGame
Right-click Entire Network and search for \\OurServer - result machine
found and shared folders accessible
  Drill through Entire Network\Microsoft Windows
network\OurHome(workgroup)\OurGame(PC no. 2) using Windows Explorer
  Ping  192.168.2.1
  Ping  192.168.2.2

No Can do:
Cannot drill through Entire Network\Microsoft Windows
network\OurHome(workgroup)\OurServer(PC no. 1)  using Windows Explorer. (and
yet \\OurServer visible if searched)

The pc \\OurServer is not visible from the Workgroup whereas \\OurGame is

PC Two
OS: Windows XP Home
Workgroup: OurHome
Computername: OurGame
IP Address: 192.168.2.2

Can do:
net view \\OurGames (returns list of shared facilities)
Use Windows Explorer to view shared files on via My Network Places -
\\OurGame
  Ping  192.168.2.1
  Ping  192.168.2.2
net view \\OurGame (returns list of shared facilities)

No Can do:
net view \\OurServer (returns error - Windows cannot find the network path.)
Cannot see the shared folders on other computer \\OurServer  using Windows
Explorer
Right-click Entire Network and search for \\OurServer - result machine
not found
  Drill through Entire Network\Microsoft Windows
network\OurHome(workgroup)\OurServer (PC no. 1)

What can cause this problem? Anyone??

Is the Guest account enabled on your XP Pro machine?

From article: "Description of the Guest account in Windows XP"
<http://support.microsoft.com/kb/300489/en-us>

"...By default, the Guest account is disabled in Windows XP Home
Edition and in Windows XP Professional."
[snip]
"...By default, on computers that are running Windows XP
Professional and that have not joined to a domain, all incoming
network connections are forced to use the Guest account."

I have now enabled the Guest account on both PC's.  I still have the same
situation.

\\OurGame detects itself on the network but cannot detect \\OurServer under
any circumstances.

\\OurServer can detect \\OurGame but can only detect itself if a search for
servers is done. A standard "My Network Places" does not detect the server.

If you are using Windows Firewall, go to the Control Panel, Windows
Firewall, Exceptions Tab, and make sure File and Printer Sharing is
checked.  If you are using another firewall product, check for similar.
