[snip] "...By default, on computers that are running Windows XP Professional and that have not joined to a domain, all incoming network connections are forced to use the Guest account." HTH, John I have now enabled the Guest account on both PC's. I still have the same
situation. \\OurGame detects itself on the network but cannot detect \\OurServer under any circumstances. \\OurServer can detect \\OurGame but can only detect itself if a search for servers is done. A standard "My Network Places" does not detect the server. -- Show quoteHide quotePaul (Dundee, Scotland) "John Wunderlich" wrote: > =?Utf-8?B?UGF1bEg=?= <Pa***@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in > news:C101C708-74F4-44DC-B53E-BF56A50B9E60@microsoft.com: > > > I have 2 computers connected together via a cable router.
