Help with ICS please, connecting 1394 and LANHi all,
I am trying to enable ICS on my desktop between LAN and 1394 (firewire) connections. Desktop is connected to the server with IP 192.168.0.1 via LAN connection. Unfortunately someone at MS decided that users do not need to be able to change IP for Internet Connection Sharing host. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/networking/expert/crawford_02july01.mspx http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/310563 Is there any tricky way to change that? I skimmed through registry for clues but all in vein.... :( P.S. Please do not suggest getting a router or changing DHCP server IP to something else but 192.168.0.1 regards y. I don't know how to do it, and I don't recommend doing it. -- Best Wishes, Steve Winograd, MS-MVP (Windows Networking) Please post any reply as a follow-up message in the news group for everyone to see.
