Trouble wharing files ...Hi,
I have two machines, a Windows 2000 Desktop and a Windows XP laptop connected through cables to my home router. On the Win2000 machine, I wanted to share the contents of the "My Documents" folder with the XP computer. On the win2k folder, I right clicked on the folder, went to "Properties", selected the "Sharing" tab, clicked the "Share this folder" radio button, and then enabled full permissions. But on my XP machine, I can't see the win2k folders anywhere. Where do they normally appear? How else can I begin troubleshooting this problem? Thanks, - Dvae On 22 Nov 2006 07:44:59 -0800, laredotorn***@zipmail.com wrote:

Thru the network, you'll find them under "C:\Documents and Settings\(name of user)...". This presumes that the account used for network access has permission to access these personal folders. -- Cheers, Chuck, MS-MVP [Windows - Networking] http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/ Paranoia is not a problem, when it's a normal response from experience.
