Duplicated name in network

When Windows XP starts I get a message that reads "System Error: There is a
duplicated name in the network". I only have one connection through a cable
modem, only one printer and no other external peripheral. My connections
panel only shows one connection and one printer. How can I get rid of this
message?

Configure the firewall program to block all access by other computers
on the network.  Make sure that the computer name, workgroup name, and
user account name are all different.
