Networking Home editon and Pro togetherI am currently trying to setup a network between Windows XP Pro SP2 and
Windows XP home edition SP2. The purpose of this network is so that the WinXp home computer can connect through the WinXP pro to the internet. I have to NIC 's in the Xp Pro computer one is used for the internet (cable modem) and the other is used to connect to the home edition computer via crossover cable. i have run the network setup wizard several times without any significant results. I can not find the other computer on either computer. when I try to ping the IP of the networked computer it does not return. All firewalls are turned off. I was hoping that someone could give me advice on how to fix this or point out what I am doing wrong. Thanks On Tue, 28 Nov 2006 14:43:59 -0800, Kane <K***@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote:
