Networking Home editon and Pro together

I am currently trying to setup a network between Windows XP Pro SP2 and
Windows XP home edition SP2. The purpose of this network is so that the WinXp
home computer can connect through the WinXP pro to the internet. I have to
NIC 's in the Xp Pro computer one is used for the internet (cable modem) and
the other is used to connect to the home edition computer via crossover
cable. i have run the network setup wizard several times without any
significant results. I can not find the other computer on either computer.
when I try to ping the IP of the networked computer it does not return. All
firewalls are turned off. I was hoping that someone could give me advice on
how to fix this or point out what I am doing wrong.

How about we look at "browstat status" and  "ipconfig /all" from each computer,
and diagnose the problem.  Read this article, and linked articles, and follow
instructions precisely (download browstat!):
