Changed to 64-bit, and cannot get internet to work.64-bit. I have set up a connection for my cable modem and but it is not connecting to the internet, just saying that it has been connected, and when clicked on it shows no ip address or gateway address etc.. here are some pictures I've taken to help since I am not very good at explaining it yet. It isnt showing anything except the 1394 connection in the network adapters part either. Also I cannot get the sound to work:( It shows in the driver pictures where they have a yellow exclaimation point next to the corrupted parts, and also in the other picuture that it will not work because the driver isnt actually avalible or it is not working correctly, thing is that I cannot connect to the internet on that computer to go online and let it somehow search maybe for updates? I'm just confused and out of my leauge right now, tks if you can help me :)
Maybe that will show them If the only network device showing up is the 1394 adapter then you are
missing drivers for your network adapter - and without them, the cable modem is connecting to nothing and that would explain why it doesn't work. Check with your PC manufacture or motherboard manufacturer for 64-bit drivers and if they have none then go back to 32-bit Windows. -- Show quoteHide quoteRichard G.
