This one is one pf the best Routers and an excellent deal, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16833162173 Jack (MVP-Networking). Disclaimer: I have No connections with any of the Hardware providers, or and vendors that I mentioned above. My recommendations are based on devices purchased through the regular consumer channels. brand, it's time to try something else. I often switch brands when a client experiences router failure, but I am not aware of any hard evidence on brand reliability. Although many low end wireless routers have been in service for years without problems, I tend to think of these as 'throw away' devices - this is especially true in central Florida, the lightning capital of the world. If you get a year + usage out it, you got your money's worth. Whatever you replace your SpeedStream with, plug it into a battery backup with a built-in line conditioner. Power failure/surges are a major cause of damage in these devices. I've been using Linksys for 6+ years, but have also heard consistently good >I have been through two SpeedStream wireless routers. My current router is a Linksys WRT-54GS; the WRT-54G is just as good if you have non-Linksys wireless adapters in the network.
