YOU DO NOT HAVE PERMISSION TO USE THIS NETWORK RESOURCE.  IT IS SHARED AND I
CAN SEE IT.  I TRIED ADDING THE XP HOME AS A USER TO THE XP PRO COMPUTER & IT
CONNECTS NOW BUT I WOULD HAVE TO DO THIS FOR 4 COMPUTERS.  WHAT IS WRONG?  IT
ALSO CAME UP AS A USER ON PRO ON REBOOT ON THE SIGN ON SCREEN.

THANKS PHYLLIS

Hi Phyllis,

Please don't yell.  We will try to help you, and we can help you easier (with

One of the most common causes of this problem would be a misconfigured or
overlooked personal firewall, or other security component. There are several
other possibilities too, and any might be the cause of your problem. Read this
article with an open mind.

Or we could look at "browstat status" and "ipconfig /all", from each computer,
and diagnose the problem.  Read this article, and linked articles, and follow
instructions precisely (download browstat!):
