System error 1130 has occurredI have recently upgraded my hard drives on my PC. My D: is now 800GB. My problem is that I can no longer connect to any network shares on this hard drive. When I try, I get the following error: System error 1130 has occurred. Not enough server storage is available to process this command. If however, I wish to connect to a network share on drive E: (400gig), I connect as before with no issues. This is not unique to only one PC, I have the exact same issue on my PC at work, and receive the same error(s). It appears to have some issue with the actual size of the hard drive from what I can tell...??? Any help or suggestions are certainly appreciated. I have tried resolving this with similar issues I found online, such as, disabling my Anti-Virus, and even a couple of Registry Tweaks with no success. I am running WinXP Pro sp2 with all current 'Windows Updates'. -- Thanks for your time, -Doug On Thu, 7 Dec 2006 16:39:00 -0800, Doug Dyreng

That's a problem on the distant computer, and it's well known here. <http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2005/06/server-functionality-affected-by.html> http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2005/06/server-functionality-affected-by.html -- Cheers, Chuck, MS-MVP [Windows - Networking] http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/ Paranoia is not a problem, when it's a normal response from experience. My email is AT DOT actual address pchuck mvps org. Thanks Chuck, but unfortunately no dice, that is the same Registry mod I
found. It was originally addressed in WinNT4. The article you sent me to also stated... +++ To change IRPStackSize for Windows 2000, XP, and 2003 Windows dynamically adjusts this value. The IRPStackSize value is not created during the installation of Windows. Some programs set this value by default. This prevents Windows from correctly managing the value. In this case, remove the value completely and restart the computer. +++ Based on this I should not create the IRPStackSize registry value for any NT OS after WinNT4. I have tried the mod and rebooted but still have the same issue. So, I have removed the Registry Entry since it did not seem to resolve the issue for me. I very much appreciate you time. If you have any other ideas, I am glad to take a look at them. -- Show quoteHide quoteThanks, -Doug "Chuck" wrote: > On Thu, 7 Dec 2006 16:39:00 -0800, Doug Dyreng > <DougDyr***@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote: > > >Hey All, > > > >I have recently upgraded my hard drives on my PC. I did more following along the link you gave me. I read (somewhere no sure where) that the maximum value for the Registry Value IRPStackSize 'is' 50. So I went ahead and changed it to 50 instead of the other recomendations, Stopped and Started the 'Server' Service, and it now appears to work correctly. Your response and the specific info you gave me got me where I needed to be to resolve this. -- Show quoteHide quoteAgain - many thanks for your time, -Doug "Chuck" wrote: > On Thu, 7 Dec 2006 16:39:00 -0800, Doug Dyreng > <DougDyr***@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote: > > >Hey All, > > > >I have recently upgraded my hard drives on my PC.
