Workgroup How many PC's ?

What is the max limit for a workgroup, i hear it's only 10!
what if a workgroup consists of 20 PC's will it still work and fucntion
probably?

There is no limit on the number of PCs in a workgroup.

There are limits on the number of inbound connections that a PC may
concurrently have; so, if you use one PC as a file-server, only a
handful of other PCs can concurrently connect to its files.  The limits
are 5 if the file-server runs XP HE, or 10 if the file-server runs
XP PRO or XP MCE.

I personally find that having more than a handful of computers in a
workgroup renders it very difficult to manage/administer.

The other reply you got tells you the limits on inbound connections that can
be made to various Windows desktop versions . If you don't want to get a
server and create an AD domain, I suggest you get a NAS box or something
else (Linux?)  to act as a centralized file server.
