Windows points to wrong folder on networkHi--We have two computers (I'll call them A and B), both running WinXP
Professional, networked together. On Computer A, there is a folder called "Old My Documents" (left over from a migration from an old computer). This folder is shared on the network as "Old My Documents on Computer A" in its Properties window. On Computer B, when you click the network resource for "Old My Documents on Computer A" in Network Places, it brings up the "My Documents" folder on Computer A, NOT the "Old My Documents" folder. Both folders (Old My Documents and My Documents) are shared from Computer A to Computer B, and they each have their own listing in Network Places. How can I get the "pointer" in Network Places on Computer B to point to the correct folder? I've tried unsharing Old My Documents on A, deleting on B, resharing, etc. but cannot get it to work. Thank you! lcnlit In article <C4E18CB6-41AB-4867-9CD9-46485B2C1***@microsoft.com>,

Microsoft Most Valuable Professional Program http://mvp.support.microsoft.com Thank you, Steve--I had deleted the bad pointer, but did not know how to
recreate it. The pointer now points to the right folder. lcnlit Show quoteHide quote "Steve Winograd [MVP]" wrote: > In article <C4E18CB6-41AB-4867-9CD9-46485B2C1***@microsoft.com>, > lcnlit <lcn***@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote: > >Hi--We have two computers (I'll call them A and B), both running WinXP > >Professional, networked together.
