the other. IPconfig shows Netbois over tcip is disabled on the xp home pc, I assume this is the problem, how do I enable this? I have a home network with a router and only one IP address. Both PC have
different IP address. one is xxx.xxx.0.11 the other is xxx.xxx.0.12 the XP home says DHCP is disabled as well as netbios disabled when doing ipconfig /all Show quoteHide quote "jetro57070" wrote: > My XP home PC does not show up on the network. Right click the local area network connection. 3. Click Properties. 4. Click Internet Protocol (TCP/IP). 5. Click Properties. 6. Click Advanced. 7. Click WINS. 8. Click the Enable NetBIOS Over TCP/IP button. -- Best Wishes, Steve Winograd, MS-MVP (Windows Networking) Please post any reply as a follow-up message in the news group for everyone to see. I'm sorry, but I don't answer questions addressed directly to me in E-mail or news groups. Microsoft Most Valuable Professional Program http://mvp.support.microsoft.com did that and ran network wizzard and rebooted: now dhcp says enabled but net
bios says enabled in windows (as you mentioned), but ipconfig still shows net bios disabled. I have integrated card so cant remove it and reload drivers. ?????
