I get a message pop up "Windows System Error - IP address conflict with
another system on the network"  I also lose my internet connection sometime,
but not always.  I have several computers in my home on a wireless router,
this computer is connected directly to the router.  I don't have them
networked.  It also happens when none of the other computers are being
operated.

Thank You

By having them on routers, they are networked. You have a machine on your
home network that has the same IP address as yours. Try changing all the
machines to use DHCP and have your router give out IP addresses instead.

A common reason for this happening is by someone running the Internet
Connection Sharing wizard - this sets the IP address on one interface as
192.168.1.1 and often will conflict with either the default settings for
most routers, or any other machine that has the ICS software running.

Go check all the machines - you'll find at least one of them isn't
configured correctly.
