Home Networking problemI have recently added a second computer to my home and want to creat a
network. I have networked several computers before, but they've all had 'wired' connections. This time around, one of the computers connects through the router wirelessly and I can't get the computers to network (although both computers get the internet, so the router is working). I've tried running the Network Setup Wizard on both computers. I temporarily disabled my Norton security suite to see if that was the problem, it wasn't. Is there some windows setting that I need to fiddle with or something? Thanks in advance Also:

With a home broadband router, the right option is "through a residential gateway". Other options will block file and printer sharing. Can the computers ping each other by IP address? Can they ping each other by computer name? What exactly happens when you try to access one computer from the other? If there's an error message, what does it say? -- Best Wishes, Steve Winograd, MS-MVP (Windows Networking) Please post any reply as a follow-up message in the news group for everyone to see.
