No. The lastest update to the remote desktop connection prompts you for a
username\password as soon as you click the connect button. However, the default name shows up as "localcomputername"\userid. For domain users, this has become a bit of a headache for them to have to constantly have to delete and enter the proper name. In the previous version, you would connect to the remote pc and then it would prompt you for your name\password. Also, in the new client, it does not allow you to save a connection setting with a name\password. -- Show quoteHide quotejgarcia "Sooner Al [MVP]" wrote: > "mrjules" <mrju***@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message > news:8D608A87-9F9A-4FFD-BB34-B976E44DECBB@microsoft.com... > > Is there any way to have the new remote desktop connection not attempt to > > log > > on as local user without saving the password? > > -- > > jgarcia > > > There are group policies that you can configure so passwords are not saved > on the client and your always prompted for a password.
