I am having problems in connecting two switchesHave a windows network of about 15 machines - the lan is connected
using two switches....recently i shifted some machines to another part of the building....and added one more switch for speed (To the server, to be precise) .. .LED is glowing properly....but the network is not functioning...some times pinging the other machines in the network is successful....but not always...there is not probs with the cable...when i tried connecting the cable directly into the server, there is no problem...and this cable is coming from another switch in first floor of the building...i also tried with various settings duplex speed such as 100 MBPS full duplex, 100 MBPS half duplex, 10 mpbs full duplex, 10 mbps half duplex etc.,, but nothing works....any help ????? Unless the switch has a special "uplink" port or can convert a port to one
automatically, you need to have a cross-over cable to connect two switches together.
