Adding Network PrinterI run a domain and a workgroup over the same LAN. I am trying to connect a
WinXP machine on the domain to a printer that is actually a member of the work group. I added a workgroup IP to the XP machine and can ping the target printer and the server on the workgroup but when I try to add the printer to the XP machine, I get a message says: "Windows cannot connect to the printer. Either the printer name was typed incorrectly or the specified printer has lost its connection to the server." Any help would be appreciated The printer is OK? I mean, all the other machines can print trough this
one? Is the printer a network one (like connected directly to the switch/router)? or is it a shared one? The printer is a shared network printer with
a static IP. I've done this before with a Win2K Pro machine but this is the first time of tried with XP. <ti_je***@yahoo.ca> wrote in message Show quoteHide quote news:1166894942.904604.215730@48g2000cwx.googlegroups.com... > The printer is OK?
