Using VPN Via routerHi,
I am trying to use a VPN connection to connect to my sons computer to transfer some videos. I have tried a direct connection but becuase he is using a wireles router windows tries to connect to the router rarther than his computer. And the story is the same the other way round when he tries to connect to me i am using a wireless router and his computer connects triest to connect to the router. This means no connection as the router cant understnad what windows is telling it. I would like to setup a VPN connection between the two computers. How can i do this using the routers. They are both Netgear DG834GT. The ones that come with Sky Broadband. Thanx Hi
Check out this site to help you with configuring your router for port forwarding. http://www.portforward.com/default.htm Show quoteHide quote "naza" wrote: > Hi, > I am trying to use a VPN connection to connect to my sons computer to > transfer some videos. Also if Sky has provided your netgear. they will probably have secured it against tampering. But normally the default IP address of the router is 192.168.0.1 and then admin (username & password) password.
