Trouble with Desktop Activesync and Offline FilesHopefully I've posted this problem to the correct group. I have same porblem with different customers / sites. It's always: -Windows XP SP2 -Activesync 4.2 or 4.1 -Windows Mobile 5.0 Device (Smartphones and Pocket PCs) -Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition -Exchange Server 2003 Standard Edition (sometimes as SBS 2003) All systems (incl. Exchange Server Active Sync) run OK. But whenever a user connects his Windows Mobile 5 device to a usb port and tries to sync via Desktop Activesync, Windows Offline Files indicates that the computer is running offline. This always happens right after the network connection to the Windows Mobile device has been established. As a consequence some connections to the fileserver don't work anymore until synchronization is started manually. I'd like to use both Desktop Activesync and Offline Files - how can I fix this without having the user to synchronize manually everytime he connects his Windows Mobile device? Thankyou for your support! Kind regards, Marco Castagna Hi Marco ,
Thanks for posting. Based on my knowledge it is a client side ActiveSync related issue. I would suggest posting in the newsgroup below: microsoft.public.pocketpc.activesync This is a more appropriate forum for your question where you will get the most qualified pool of respondents and other customers in the newsgroups who can either share their knowledge or learn from your interaction with others. Thank you for your understanding. Happy New Year!
