Network File Sharing ProblemMy Desktop is connected to the router via an ethernet cable. I share files on both computers but the laptop cannot open the files or shard folders on the Desktop but the Desktop can open files and folders on the laptop and read from and write to the the shared folders. I have the both the boxes for 'Share this folder on the network' and 'Allow network users to change my files' checked on both the laptop and the desktop. Users on both have administrative priveledges. Windows firewall is disabled. When I try to open a folder on the desktop from the laptop I get the following message. \\Primary\Archives(A particular folder on the desktop) is not accessible. You might not have permission to use the network resource. Contact the admiistrator of this serve to find out if you have access permission. (I am the aministrator.) And at the bottom of the message window there is this statement. Not enough server storage is available to process the command. The system worked fine going both ways about 2 months ago so I must have inadvertently changed something. Can someone help me get it going again? Thank you very much.

This is a well known problem, coming from an antivirus program changing an extremely obscure registry setting. <http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2005/06/server-functionality-affected-by.html> http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2005/06/server-functionality-affected-by.html -- Cheers, Chuck, MS-MVP [Windows - Networking] http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/ Paranoia is not a problem, when it's a normal response from experience.
