Local Area ConnectionHi in need of some guidance here, System Tray icon shows Local Area
Connection a Network Cable is Unplugged.I have tried replacing the cable but get the same message. Also when I try to use Network Setup Wizard I get The Wizard found disconnected hardware. The network connections listed below are disconnected.Plug in your network cables or otherwise connect your network hardware, and then click Next.Connections - Local Area Connection - 3Com 10/100 Mini PCI Ethernet Adapter. The box below is - Ignore disconnected network hardware (I have tried this both selected and not !) Also the suggested route of Start-My Network Places isn't there, I have to go Start-My Computer-My Network Places Just to prove all I've got is my internet connection and an unplugged cable for the LAN but no network (which I've been trying to set up now for 3 days). I hope I've explained this well enough for someone to help out !! TIA El.Plates wrote:
