Some idea of the equipment (make and model numbers when available), that you have, would be a good thing to start with. How close is "the same room"? Can you run a single cable between the two computers? Do you want a permanent connection? Do you want to share Internet service, or just to connect for file sharing? <http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2005/06/background-information-useful-in.html> http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2005/06/background-information-useful-in.html Next, I'll ask you to read my tutorial on networking your computers, and ask questions about details. The Linksys tutorial should be useful to you. <http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2005/06/background-information-useful-in.html> http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2005/06/background-information-useful-in.html -- Cheers, Chuck, MS-MVP [Windows - Networking] http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/ Paranoia is not a problem, when it's a normal response from experience.
