Sharing FoldersComputer A (main computer) to Computer B (wireless connection). If I log in
on computer B as an administrator I can see the shared folders in My NetWork Places; however, when I log in as a user I am unable to see the shared folders. What do I need to set the user as to view My Network Places for shared folders? Thank you in advance for any help on this question. -- Cobra On Fri, 29 Dec 2006 09:30:00 -0800, Cobra <Co***@discussions.microsoft.com>

Read this article, and linked articles, and follow instructions precisely (download browstat!): <http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2005/05/troubleshooting-network-neighborhood.html#AskingForHelp> http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2005/05/troubleshooting-network-neighborhood.html#AskingForHelp -- Cheers, Chuck, MS-MVP [Windows - Networking] http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/ Paranoia is not a problem, when it's a normal response from experience. 1.On Computer B, when you open "My network place" there is an option in the left "View work group Computers" click on that and go into Computer A for checking the shared folders. 2. Disable firwall if it is enabled. right click on Local are connection and go to Advanced then settings and turn off the firewall. or there is a checkbox, uncheck that and click ok. 3. before accessing the shared folders ping the target computer.
