Check Device Manager (Start -> Run -> devmgmt.msc) and see if there's a yellow exclamation point next to any entries. This would indicate you need to install drivers available from Dell to make these hardware items work correctly. If you received a Resources CD with your Dell, you should find the basic driver for your network adapter there. If not, go to Dell's web site and download them. http://www.support.dell.com/ Click on Drivers and Downloads on the Dell site. Select Dimension 3000 under the Select Model button or enter the information from the Service Tag on the back of your computer. You should find the correct drive listed under Network -> Intel Pro 100 Network Connection. After you install the drivers for your network adapter, you might want to go back to the Dell site and download the drivers for your chipset as well as any that are listed as Recommended. Good luck Nepatsfan
